Classes

My weekly art classes are offered on an ongoing basis as the study of art is never ending and there is always so much to explore and room to grow!

I provide a safe, encouraging environment in a group setting that fosters personal growth.

A fresh approach to using color to “pop” your paintings is always reinforced! You will fine tune your use of the “secrets of a successful painting” while developing your personal style in acrylics or oils. The elements of design, “the toolbox of an artist” is learned and then put into practice as we employ the principles of design (how to create harmony, unity, variety, etc]. No worries...I take the mystery out of all of it and make it interesting too! Just ask about the “color dance”!

Each student works at his/her own pace. After the initial consultation, and upon joining the class, I focus on that person’s expressed interests and guide them, while all the time reinforcing theory of art.

What if you have never picked up a brush or can’t draw a straight line, etc.?

If you have the desire to create and put in the time I would love to talk with you as you can learn to express yourself with paint. I am always so excited to see someone discover success!  Just give yourself the chance and permission to start! I explain everything from how to start a painting to when it is finished and all the steps in between.

What if you have been painting for some time and just need “something”?

For an advanced student, sometimes there are missing pieces in the way you are working to bring your art to a higher level. By including the elements of design and mastering them there is always room for growth in expression.

My advanced students are now at a point where the “rules’ are in the back of their mind and they can run with the painting and express themselves in a more intuitive way.

Oh! the excitment of tha; to just be able to put the “right color in the right shape in the right place” without hesitation! Joy!

I am blessed to be able to work with people and share information. I have been fortunate to have had an extensive education from a combination of formal academics and private instruction from several master painters. My desire is to return that information to others.

I appreciate the time my students entrust to me in their journey as an artist.

My weekly classes are ongoing unless notice is given of a change in schedule. Once you are enrolled, you will be updated of any changes in class days as there are occasional breaks due to travel, etc.

My fees are as follows:

• $25.00 per class payable the first of the month as one payment (usually $100.00 per month)
• $30.00 per class if "pay as you go"

Your payment choice MUST be determined prior to the start of each month.
